Police appeal to identify men after alleged fraud in Rayleigh

Police wish to speak to them in connection with a fraud in Rayleigh during the summer.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, was approached by a man who claimed to be a tradesman. He offered to conduct a survey of repairs at the victim’s home, before bringing in a group of people to assist him.
The repairs were never completed and a five-figure sum of cash was taken from the victim.
The work took place between June 12 – 21 this year.
Anyone with information about the identities of these men is asked to call Essex Police on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/97657/19.
