Police link three attempted robberies in Canvey

Police investigating a series of attempted robberies in Canvey over the weekend where two victims sustained stab wounds are appealing for witnesses and information.

Officers were called to Parklands, off Hilton Road shortly after 10.55pm on Saturday December 2.

A man had suffered a stab wound to his leg after he was approached by two teenagers.

They demanded his wallet and phone, but nothing was taken.

The victim was taken to hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

A man was approached by two individuals of a similar description, at around 11pm near Short Road.

The pair demanded his money and phone, before producing a bat and a knife.

The suspects left the scene after they were challenged by the victim.

Shortly after 1am on Monday December 4,, police were called to an area near Somnes Avenue to reports of two suspects with a similar description approaching a man and producing a knife.

They demanded the his belongings, before stabbing him in the leg.

One suspect is described as aged around 14, while the other is described as aged around 16 years old.

Both were wearing balaclavas, one was wearing a grey tracksuit and a black bodywarmer, while the other wore a black tracksuit.

Police need any witnesses, or anyone who may have relevant doorbell or dashcam footage, to come forward.
