Police search for missing Thurrock man after car found abandoned

ESSEX Police has released a photograph of a man who has been missing from Thurrock for two days.

Ross Smedmor, 36, from Chadwell St Mary, was reported missing on Sunday, September 8.

A police spokesman said: “We are concerned for his welfare. His vehicle was found in Horndon-on-the-Hill and we have been searching the area.”

Mr Smedmor is 5’8” tall and has ‘bright red tattoos’ on his hands, said police. One is of a rose, the other a poppy. He also has writing tattooed across his fingers.

Anybody with information on his whereabouts was asked to dial 101 and ask for Grays police station.
