Quad bike driver dies in South Ockendon collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in South Ockendon.
Officers were called at just after 9pm on Sunday March 21 following reports of a collision in Cherwell Grove, South Ockendon.
A quad bike had collided with a lamppost and its driver, a man, suffered multiple injuries. Despite the best efforts of paramedics he died at the scene.
An investigation is now underway and officers would like to hear from any witnesses who saw the quad bike in the moments leading up to the crash or who saw the collision itself. It is thought the quad bike may have been attempting to overtake another vehicle in the moments before the collision.
