Quick arrests made following robbery in Southend

Three people were arrested following a robbery in Southend within half an hour of it happening.

Police received a call shortly after 3.25pm on Tuesday (August 29) to report a man had been assaulted, robbed and threatened with a BB gun in Marine Parade.

Officers carrying out patrols as part of Op Union were given good descriptions of the assailants and carried out a search of the area.

A 19 year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after 3.45pm.
