Robbers attack cyclist in Southend then make off with his expensive mountain bike

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the owner of a £1,800 mountain bike was robbed outside a shop in Southend High Street.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, had left a blue BMW mountain bike outside JD Sports on Monday April 12 at about 3.45pm.

He then noticed two young males standing around the bike.

When he returned to the bike to challenge them, a fight broke out and the victim was assaulted and was stamped on by the attackers who then made off with the bike.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has information on it.
