AMBITIOUS East Thurrock United have announced five new signings, as well as a couple of familiar faces penning new deals, as they ramp up ahead of the 2020/21 Isthmian League Premier Division campaign.
Danny Cossington and Ayo Olukoga remain at Rookery Hill having initially arrived from Romford during the last campaign. Meanwhile, Jonathan Nzengo, Louis Bowen, Luke Illsley, Alfie Cue and Callum Taylor all come in as boss Martin shapes a competitive group, capable of a promotion push come the new season.
Nzengo comes in having impressed at Aveley, particularly in their historic Buildbase FA Trophy run. Previously, the player enjoyed a spell with the Rocks as well as Romford.
Defender Bowen joins from Waltham Abbey, while central midfielder Illsley made 31 appearances for Chalfont St Peter ahead of making the switch.
Cue, another midfield option for Martin, has spent time with Dartford, Hitchin Town, Hertford, VCD Athletic as well as a loan period at Leatherhead.
The versatile Taylor who can adapt to several positions. He arrives from Welwyn Garden City but has also represented Royston Town, Grays Athletic and Witham Town.
