Rose joins Hornets after Spurs association is ended

Left-sided defender Danny Rose has signed a two-year deal with Premier League new boys, Watford.

The 20-year-old ended a fourteen-year association with Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season. Previously, Rose had spent a loan spell with the Hornets in 2009. Most recently, he found himself out on a similar deal at Newcastle United after falling out of favour with the North Londoners under former boss, Jose Mourinho.

Speaking to www.watfordfc.com, Rose enthused: “There’s been interest in the past and it’s just never happened.

“I’m over the moon that I’m here, considering the year that I’ve had. I’ve not played for a while so I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity again.
