Rovers looking to tighten up ahead of Sudbury visit

Great Wakering Rovers will be keen to rectify last weeks defensive nightmare when AFC Sudbury are the visitors to Burroughs Park on Saturday.

The villagers found themselves four goals down inside just thirty-two minutes during their Pitching In Isthmian League North trip to Grays Athletic last time out – Anointed Chukwu bagging a hat-trick ast teh hosts went on to win 5-1.

The defeat came as a disappointment to Rovers who had seen off fellow strugglers, Basildon United by three unanswered goals three days previous.

Despite the defeat, Rovers remain five points clear of the dropzone and
now face a Sudbury side sitting just outside the play-off places following their 1-0 derby success at Coggeshall Town.
