Scopes’ Beach Boys ready for Hungerford challenge

Hungerford Town v Concord Rangers – Vanarama National League South – Bulpit Lane – Saturday 3pm – Preview

Danny Scopes has prepared his Concord Rangers side for a tough examination when they take on high-flying Hungerford Town at Bulpit Lane on Saturday.

Back-to-back league victories over Dartford and Tonbridge Angel have left the West Berkshire shire second in the early league table. Nevertheless, Beach Boys boss, Scopes, knows his charges will leave no stone unturned in their quest to upset the Hungerford applecart

“We go there after a good win on the road at Whyteleafe in the FA Cup on Tuesday night – the boys will give it all they’ve got – we’ll empty the tank and see what we can do,” he told Yellow Sport.

“Hungerford is always a tough place to go, but away games bring there own unique challenges, besides, there are no easy fixtures at this level.”

Scopes added: “We know a little more about our group now. It’s still early in the season, but we’ve already shown plenty of good signs.”
