Concord Rangers v Dorking Wanderers – Vanarama National League – Aspect Arena – Saturday 3pm – Preview
Danny Scopes refused to dwell on Concord Rangers midweek setback at Braintree Town and has placed all his focus on upsetting promotion-chasing Dorking Wanderers at the Aspect Arena on Saturday.
The Beach Boys went down by a goal to nil against Braintree side including a number of new faces following the resignation of boss, George Borg. But despite that disappointment, the Concord chief remained upbeat and ready for what will be a tough test against a side currently sitting third in the Vanarama National League South table.
“We are looking forward to getting back home and testing ourselves against one of the best teams in the league,” he told Yellow Sport
“They have plenty of talented players in their squad and have set their sights on winning the league.
“I think its fair to say, their focus is different to ours at this current time. But it’s up to us to rediscover that Concord spirit which has served us so well over the years, put in a performance and try to get the result we all desire.”
Concord currently occupy eighteenth place with a win and two draws to show from their six league outings to date.
