Search and rescue equipment stolen from van in Southend

Police are appealing for information following a theft from a vehicle in Southend where expensive search and rescue equipment was taken.

Equipment which is used to save people’s lives in rescue situations, including a camera worth a five-figure sum, was taken from a black Ford Transit van at the Camelia Hotel in Eastern Esplanade at around 8pm on January 4.
