Second charge after teen injured in Southend

A second man has been charged in connection with an incident in Southend where a teenager was found with serious injuries.

Police were called shortly before 4.25am on Tuesday October 11 following reports of a disturbance in York Road.

When officers attended they found a teenage boy with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A second teenager was taken to hospital with injuries to his legs.

That teenager – 18-year-old Nicholas Manueno, of Cranberry Lane, E16 – has now been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, aggravated burglary, and common assault.

He is due to appear in Chelmsford Crown Court today (Thursday October 20).

Another man – 27-year-old Constantin Ozansoy, of Chingford Road, Walthamstow – has already been charged with aggravated burglary and common assault.

He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on November 14.

The two other men arrested – a 26-year-old on suspicion of aggravated burglary and a 29-year-old on suspicion of GBH with intent and aggravated burglary – have both been released on bail until November 4
