Shazad Khan hit an unbeaten 88, while Baber Choudhary chipped in with 66 as Old Brentwoods saw off Benfleet by seven wickets at Woodside Park.

Shazad’s innings came off 117 balls and ensured his side maintained their lead at the top of the table. Fayaz Khan Nasseri was the pick of the Benfleet attack, returning figures of two for 39.

Earlier, Benfleet had reached 192. Ross Casson top-scored with 38. Umaad Sultan took 3/24 for the visitors, while Fawad Mullahzadah and Sulaman Hussain claimed two wickets apiece.
