O’s in the play-off places after late winner in the Potteries
Port Vale 2-3 Leyton Orient
In the division’s early kick-off, Ross Embleton’s O’s were far from sluggish in the Potteries, recording a third consecutive victory – climbing into the play-offs zone.
In-form hitman, Danny Johnson, cancelled out former Gillingham and Cambridge man, Leon Legge’s early strike.
And, co-striker, Conor Wilkinson got in on the act to send the East Londoners ahead before the interval.
In a thrilling encounter, Vale restored parity when first-half sub., Cristian Montaño netted fifteen minutes from time.
But, flying winger, James Brophy ensured a happy return journey down the M6 by tapping home a deserved 85th-minute winner.

Blues woes continue as Trotters’ canter to victory
Bolton Wanderers 3-0 Southend United
Mark Molesley’s Blues endured a fruitless trip, up north, to the improving Trotters.
Unable to build on a fine win at Walsall, a couple of weeks ago, they were hoping for a change of luck following a narrow midweek Forest Green Rovers home reverse.
But, they conceded in first-half stoppage time when Nathan Delfoneso netted from a Baptiste assist.
The Blues never recovered from that psychological blow and an Eoin Doyle second-half brace – one a penalty – following a John White foul – leaves the Shrimpers marooned at the foot of the table.
Bolton Wanderers: Gilks, Jones (Mascoll 85′), Almeida Santos, Delaney, Delfoneso, Sarcevic, Crawford, Tutte (White 12′), Baptiste, Kioso (Darcy 65′), Doyle Subs not used: Crellin, Comley, Greenidge, Isgrove
Southend United: Oxley, Bwomono, White, Hobson, Kyprianou (Clifford 82′), Egbri (Taylor 82′), Demetriou, McCormack, Olayinka, Dieng, Goodship (Acquah 82′) Subs not used: Seaden, Phillips, Sterling, Rush
