Essex Eagles still have work to do to ensure Vitality Blast South Group qualification after a Rilee Rossouw-inspired Somerset side recorded an eight-wicket victory at the Cloud County Ground.

Essex remained third in the group, despite surrendering their four-match unbeaten home sequence. Michael Pepper hit a majestic unbeaten 86 off 49 balls for the home side. His innings included ten 4s and three 6s during a seventy-minute stint at the crease. Meanwhile, Paul Walter was again amongst the runs, scoring 58 off 29 as Essex posted 188/5. Jack Brooks returned figures of two for 23 for the visitors.
