Son treble a boost to Spurs’ top-four hopes

Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – Villa Park – Report

Aston Villa 0-4 Tottenham Hotspur

Heung-Min Son scored an impressive hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur routed Aston Villa by four unanswered goals to boost their hopes of a top-four Premier League finish.

Son bagged a third-minute opener for the Lilywhites. However, it was Villa who largely dominated the opening period with Hugo Lloris by far the busier of the two goalkeepers.

But after the restart, Spurs took charge. Dejan Kulusevski added a second before the North Londoners’ South Korean superstar claimed the match ball, moving his side three points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal and with a far superior goal difference.
