Crawley Town v Leyton Orient – Papa John’s Trophy – People’s Pension Stadium – Report
Crawley Town 0-4 Leyton Orient
Ruel Sotiriou bagged a brace as a much-changed Leyton Orient side thrashed Crawley Town by four unanswered goals in a somewhat one-sided Papa John’s Trophy tie at the People’s Pension Stadium.
Sotiriou, one of seven changes to the side beaten in the league at Port Vale last Saturday, opened the scoring as early as the seventh minute with a crisp, half volley.
Dan Happe added a second before the interval, heading home a delicious Tom James cross.
O’s went further ahead after the restart. Sotiriou again displaying his prowest around the box. Dan Kemp capped a fine evening, netting from close-range after Craig Clay, and Hector Kyprianou had fashioned an opening.
Leyton Orient now turn their attention back to Sky Bet League Two, where they will face Barrow AFC at Holker Street on Saturday, October 9 (3pm).
