Westcliff made it two wins from two in the Masters First division with a 5-1 victory over league leaders Fitzwimarc Seconds. Mark King and Phil Crabtree both picked up three rubbers each with Mark not dropping a game as Westcliff moved within a point of Fitz. Mandy Holland and Kera Lewis helped secure the point for the away side as they suffered their first defeat.

B & BP picked up their first win in the Mixed Premier with a 7-2 triumph against Westcliff Seconds. Emma and Daniel Potter and Adam Cooper and Tamsin Collinge both won all three of their rubbers with a single victory for Dawn Eagon and Paul Hyde. Andrea Lloyd and Matt Tonge and Vicki Russell and Mark King were victorious in a rubber each for the visitors.

Down in the Mixed Second division, Phoenix Flames Seconds just about kept up their unbeaten start with a narrow 5-4 win over Hawkwell. Ben Bradford and Carly Horsler won a perfect three rubbers for the visitors with Russell Dobson and Vikki Walker and Rob Dunn and Tracey Carey winning a rubber each. Andrew Strutt and Sophie Pearson picked up a brace for the Hawks. Farnaz Siddiq and Keith Wood and Mike Smyth and Caroline Trace secured a single victory each as they stay in third.

There were two matches in the Men’s Premier with Fitzwimarc making it four wins from four as they beat the Fitzwimarc Seconds team 9-0. Phill Tuffee and Zak Pryor, Spencer Collins and Paul Chaplin and Daniel Wightman and Michael Clark all won three rubbers with the former two pairings not dropping a game. Jay Crewe and Alex Penny came closest to getting a point for the Seconds who slip to the foot of the table.

Leighway remain in second place but lost ground on Fitzwimarc after they could only secure a 5-4 win over Premier new boys Riverside. John Masheter and David Gotts secured a perfect three rubbers and were supported by a brace from Pete Brumwell and Tom Crosby.

Michael Dunn and Tom Grafton won two rubbers for Riverside while Andy Brown and Raff Pratheek-Badrinath and Tom Pennington and Pinda Garcha picked up a victory each.

Finally, Hawkwell got revenge on the Hawkwell Seconds team for defeat last month as they won 8-1. Despite the scoreline, five of the rubbers went to three. Matt Smyth and Russell Dobson and Gavin Lewis and Alan Morriss both won three rubbers each with the former not dropping a game. Mike Smyth and Jamie Cole got a double. Keith Wood and Ben Gates got the point for the Seconds.
