Old Boys boss, Andy Crow was delighted with his sides’ start to their Premier Division campaign.  “It was a great performance from all the players and a very important three points to start the season,“ he told Yellow Sport.

In a hard-fought encounter at Blenheim Park, Liam O’Callaghan handed the hosts an early advantage only for Russell Judd to equalise for the visitors’ on the half-hour.

An unfortunate own-goal turned the contest on its head before the interval and a miserable afternoon for the home side was complete when another own-goal put the contest beyond doubt.

Earls Hall United 5-3 Corinthians ‘B’

Earls Hall chief, Ronnie Docherty, praised the fighting spirit in his side after they battled their way back to plunder the Division One points from an eight-goal thriller with Corinthians ‘B’.

“It was a really tough game, Docherty told Yellow Sport.

“We changed the formation after going 2-0 down which worked as we managed to get ourselves level.

“Then after taking the lead, we got pegged back again at 3-3. But the boys found that little bit extra, pushing on to win 5-3.”
