Ashingdon 4-2 Old Southendian ‘A’

Old Boys boss, Andy Crow, admitted his side had found it tough going against a good Ashingdon side at Cherry Orchard Lane.

On a damp afternoon, the Old Boys slipped to a 4-2 defeat. “It was a tough game played in dreadful conditions,” Crow told Yellow Sport.

“We knew it would be difficult against a decent Ashingdon side. Injuries meant we had four lads playing for the first time in a year.

“The better team won. If we are to lockdown again, the only positive I can see is that some of our injured players might have some time to recover and return.”
