Danny Spencer was in fine goalscoring form as Garon Park Over 60s secured three wins from four in the latest round of Essex Walking Football League matches at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford.
Spencer bagged a stylish hat-trick as the Southend-based side saw off their Concord Rangers counterparts by three goals to nil.
Former Clapton goalkeeper, Michael, Orme was called into action early in Garon’s next outing against Grays. However, after the stopper had played his part, another treble from Spencer, coupled with a Mark Elnaugh strike ensured a resounding 4-0 triumph.
Spencer found the net again as Garon Park took the lead against Leyton Orient Reds. However, the O’s hit back to end the Seasiders winning run, securing a 2-1 success.
Leyton Orient Whites provided Garon’s final opponents of the round. Once again, Spencer proved to be the difference, his brace overseeing a 2-0 victory leaving them in second place, a point behind leaders Norwich City.
Garon Park bounced back from this setback with a routine 2-0 win over Leyton Orient Whites so all in all not a bad day at the office
