Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of defender, Matt Doherty, from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 28-year-old had been a target of Jose Mourinho for some time and the Spurs chief secured the signature of the right full-back on a four-year deal.
The 28-year-old arrived at Molineux from League of Ireland outfit, Bohemians, in July 2010. The player has since made more than 300 appearances for the Black Country side, helping them from League One to the Premier League as well as featuring in their Europa League run during the last campaign.
Doherty has been capped nine times by the Republic of Ireland and will now link up with the squad ahead of their matches with Bulgaria and Finland next week.
