Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Danish international midfielder, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, from Premier League rivals, Southampton.
The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Previously, the player made 128 appearances for Southampton after joining the south-coast club from Bayern Munich in 2016.
Højbjerg started at Brøndby IF and has been capped by Denmark on 33 occasions. During his time at Bayer, he spent spells at FC Augsburg and FC Schalke – he was a part of the Bayern side which won the German Cup in 2014, overcoming old adversaries, Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, moving in the opposite direction is Tottenham defender, Kyle Walker-Peters.
Academy product Walker-Peters spent the second half of last season on loan at Southampton after appearing 24 times for Spurs.
