Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Jessica Naz and Angela Addison have put pen to paper on new deals with the FA Women’s Super League outfit.
20-year-old Naz joined the club in 2018 from North London rivals, Arsenal. The attacker had started her career in the Lilywhites youth system.
An England under 19 international, Naz told www.tottenhamhotspur.com: “I’m thrilled to sign a new contract and, in a way, it comes as a bit of a relief as well.
“During my rehab, I didn’t want to put any extra pressure on myself or think about my future – my priority was getting back to fitness. Now my future has been decided and I’m getting minutes, my focus is on getting back to the level I was at before my injury.
“When Rehanne (Rehanne Skinner – Head Coach) came in, it was another boost for me because she’s seen me perform at my best with England at the Euros in 2019, so she knows what I can bring to the team and is challenging me to get back consistently to my previous level.
Meanwhile, forward Addison will remain at Spurs until June 2022 with the option of another twelve months.
The 21-year-old has scored eleven times in 41 appearances for Tottenham: “I’m so happy to have signed a new deal,” she enthused.
“I love being a Spurs player and I am grateful for the trust and belief Rehanne has placed in me.
“When Rehanne arrived, she made some adjustments which have really helped me, especially as an attacking player – she encourages us to go forward and express ourselves. She is a great coach, her sessions are amazing and I feel like I am becoming a better version of myself.”
