Spurs move quickly to appoint Skinner as new boss

Tottenham Hotspur has moved swiftly to appoint Rehanne Skinner as their new Head Coach following the departures of Karen Hills and Juan Amoros earlier today.

Skinner signed a deal with teh Lilywhites stretching until the conclusion of the 2022/23 season. She links up with the North Londoners having served as Assistant Head Coach to Phil Neville as a part of England’s set up.

A player with both Middlesbrough and Leicester City, but her notable achievements have come in coaching. A three-year stint as an assistant at Arsenal as well as working with Team GB at the 2013 World Student Games, where a gold medal was achieved, stand out. Skinner also assisted the Welsh national team before linking up with England in 2017.

Speaking to www.tottenhamhotspur.com, Skinner said: “I am really excited to be joining Tottenham Hotspur and cannot wait to get started in the WSL after the international break. 

“The Club’s philosophy and future plans are something I was really keen to be a part of. They have shown a real commitment to the women’s team and have come a long way in a short period of time which is a credit to all the players and staff involved.

“There is some incredible experience within this squad and I am looking forward to getting to work with the players so we can build on the progress that has been made so far and bring future success to the team.”
