CONCORD RANGERS have confirmed that Granada International left-sided defender, Tyrone Sterling has returned to the club.

The 32-year-old captured the Beach Boys Supporters’ Player of the Year award following a hugely impressive 2018/19 campaign. However, the player, who has also represented Cray Wanderers, Dover Athletic and Bromley, moved to Vanarama National League South rivals, Hemel Hempstead Town ahead of last season.

Once described by Concord Charman, Antony Smith, as a “Rolls Royce of a footballer,” Sterling’s return has also left manager, Danny Scopes, more than happy with his latest piece in the Aspect Arena jigsaw.

“When ‘T’ became available and showed an interest in coming back, it created a buzz for the chairman and the management team at the club,” Scopes told Yellow Sport.

“I think that shows the effect he had on us all when he was here before. ‘T’ wants to enjoy his football in an environment which he believes in and will bring the best out of him

“We believe we can create that experience. His game management qualities will be a great asset to the younger players within the squad, something we missed last year.”
