Sophia Dunkley’s unbeaten 104 led the way – her knock coming off 93 balls and including thirteen boundaries. Meanwhile, Bryony Smith and Alice Davidson-Richards scored half-centuries as the Stars posted a formidable 324/7 – Kelly Castle the pick of the Sunrisers attack with 3/40.

The chase was always likely to be a bridge too far. Tas Farrant claimed 5/33 while Smith had 3/47 – Naomi Dattani’s 47 the highlight with the bat on an otherwise difficult day for the Sunrisers
