Super Sotiriou on target as O’s bag a priceless point

Leyton Orient v Forest Green Rovers – Sky Bet League Two – Breyer Group Stadium – Report

Leyton Orient 1-1 Forest Green Rovers

Ruel Sotiriou’s strike fourteen minutes from time earned Leyton Orient a hard-earned share of the Sky Bet League Two spoil against leaders, Forest Green Rovers at the Breyer Group Stadium.

O’s went into the game without a win in four, and although that troublesome run has continued, this was a much better performance from the East Londoners.

Forest Green, beaten just twice in their opening thirteen games, took the lead after sixty-eight minutes when Matty Stevens arrived unchallenged to head Ben Stevenson’s flag-kick beyond Lawrence Vigouroux in the O’s goal.

However, the visitors lead lasted only eight minutes. Substitute, Sotiriou profited from Dan Kemps toil before cooly levelling the score.

Despite the point, Orient drop to tenth in the table, a point outside the play-off places. They return to Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday, October 23 when they take on Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium (3pm).
