Taylor hoping injuries are not an issue for Daggers

AFC Fylde v Dagenham & Redbridge – Mill Farm – Vanarama National League – Saturday 3pm

Dagenham & Redbridge could be without Manny Onariase and Sam Deering after the pair limped out of last weekend’s emphatic 6-1 National League victory over Aldershot Town at Victoria Road.

The Daggers ended a run of three successive league defeats, However, Onariase was replaced at half time with a tight hamstring, while Deering – recently brought in from Billericay Town – injured an ankle.

Speaking to www.daggers.co.uk, boss, Peter Taylor, said: “We are hoping that Manny is not a hamstring. His leg is a little bit tight so we’re a little bit nervous on that one.

“Sam took a challenge or tackled somebody and has Jared his ankle a little bit. He’s walking so we are hoping that’s not too serious.”

Taylor was far happier talking about the demolition job his side did on the hapless Shots, adding: “Over the season you have your good and bad days – Of course, today was a very good one.

“I’m delighted with the way our players have responded. We needed a result today, our recent form hasn’t been good enough.”

Host’s, AFC Fylde, have endured an indifferent campaign to date. The Buildbase FA trophy holders recently appointed Jim Bentley as their new manager as they look to build on just five league victories from twenty outings.
