Taylor keen to reward the fans as Daggers look to make it ten without defeat

Dagenham & Redbridge v Chorley – Victoria Road – Vanarama National League – Saturday 3pm

Dagenham & Redbridge v Chorley – Preview:

DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE manager, Peter Taylor, urged his side to reward the clubs supporters by putting on a show against bottom of the table Chorley at Victoria Road on Saturday.

The Daggers faithful have put in the miles of late. Back-to-back trips to Torquay and Sutton coupled with recent trips to Halifax and Chesterfield will undoubtedly have stretched the purse strings, but with Taylor’s men back on their home turf, the boss insisted it was the fans who deserved credit, provided by stretching their recent unbeaten sequence to ten matches.

Speaking after the Daggers 2-0 midweek success over Sutton United, the former Tottenham winger told www.daggers.co.uk: “We’d like to reward them,”

“The last time we were there we put in a very, very good performance – we’d like to reward them for the money it’s cost them and effort it’s cost them to get to places like Torquay and here (Sutton).

Taylor added: “We are pleased with the way we are going. We also know that the minute you drop your standards you get punished.

James Dobson scored Dagenham’s second goal in that victory at Sutton, lifting the east Londoners into sixth place in the Vanarama National League table. Nevertheless, the winger was already focusing on the Challenge ahead against a Chorley side with only one win to their name from thirteen outings.

“Every game brings a different challenge,” he explained.

“Obviously, I know Chorley haven’t done great since the start of the season but they’ve picked up results – we’re going to be ready for it.
