A teenage boy has been arrested following a robbery in Buckhurst Hill
Police were called just before 5.30pm on Saturday June 11 following reports of a robbery at High Road, Buckhurst Hill, in which it was reported that a dog was taken from its owner.
It was further reported that one of the group concerned was in possession of a knife.
A teenage boy was found with the dog nearby at around 7pm and arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail until Friday July 8.
Police Constable Emma Jackson, CID, leading the investigation, said: “We know the strength of feelings any owner has for their dog and how they want to love and protect them.
“Thankfully the dog has been recovered quickly and is safe and well, but we will continue to investigate.
“We would like anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information that would help our enquiries to contact us.”
