Teenager charged with murder after fatal collision in Waltham Abbey

A teenager has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 50-year old man in Waltham Abbey.

Neil Darnell died following a collision with a car in Farm Hill Road at 10am on Friday April 16.

A 17 year-old boy from the Cheshunt area, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in Harlow on Saturday.

He has now been charged with murder and is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today, Monday May 10.

The investigation into the circumstances behind the collision continues.
