Teenager injured in Chigwell collision
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Chigwell yesterday.
Officers were called to High Road in Chigwell shortly before 4pm on Tuesday October 17 following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
A 23-year-old man from Ilford has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, use of a motor vehicle without third party insurance, driving whilst unfit through drink and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
A 24-year-old man from Loughton has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drink and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
Both men have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any further information to contact them. They are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen a Grey Mercedes E Class convertible driving in the area around that time.
