Teenager suffers stab wound in Southend

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a teenage boy on Saturday in Southend.

The 16-year-old from Romford was stabbed in the arm following an altercation at 7pm on Eastern Esplanade.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries and has since been discharged.

Officers carried out a search of the area for the suspect and continue to carry out enquiries including reviewing CCTV.

The investigation into the circumstances behind the incident remains ongoing and police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or has any information.
