Teenagers robbed at knifepoint in Leigh-on-Sea

Police are appealing for witnesses following a knifepoint robbery in Leigh-on-Sea on Monday April 3.

Officers were called to Leigh Library Gardens on Broadway West shortly after 6pm on Monday.

Two teenage victims were in the gardens when they were approached by a group of men wearing balaclavas. The men threatened one of the boys with a knife and assaulted the two victims before stealing bags and hats.

It is believed that there were a number of members of the public in the gardens at the time and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this robbery to contact them.
