Luton Town v Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – Kenilworth Road – Report
Luton Town 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Micky van de Ven grabbed the only goal of the game as ten-man Tottenham Hotspur edged out a battling Luton Town side to move two points clear at the Premier League summit ahead of Sunday’s matches.
Van de Ven netted from close range after James Maddison had picked him out seven minutes after the restart.
Tottenham had gone in at the interval at a numerical disadvantage after Yves Bissouma was shown a second yellow card during first-half stoppage time after being deemed to have taken a dive by referee John Brooks.
Richarlison, Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro passed up decent chances for the Lilywhites. Nevertheless, van de Ven’s strike proved sufficient.
