The Brookside Theatre, Romford will come alive with The Sound of Music this month.

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein has become one of the world’s best-loved musicals.

This lavish new production, playing from Wednesday 15 – Sunday February 19 tells the remarkable true story of the von Trapp family and works its magic once again on audiences young and old alik with its unforgettable score that includes some of the most memorable songs ever written including ‘So Long Farewell’, ‘My Favourite Things’, ‘Do-Re-Mi’, ‘Edelweiss’, ‘Climb Every Mountain’ and of course the title song ‘The Sound Of Music’,

The production will be staged as part of the RH80 celebrations, commemorating 80 years since the partnership of Rodgers & Hammerstein was first announced – a partnership that redefined musical theatre.
