Two brothers and a teenager have been convicted following the death of 18-year-old Kamran Khalid in Ilford in 2021.

Abubakar Binabdulaziz, 20, of Eton Road, Ilford, and a 17-year-old boy from Ilford were found guilty at Basildon Crown Court on Monday, July 10.

Ashraf Binabdulaziz, of Eton Road, Ilford, was found guilty of manslaughter.

They will be sentenced at the same court on Friday, September 8.

Mr Khalid was murdered in the early hours of October 28 2021 following a row with the group.

Police were called to Harrow Road, Ilford at 3:54am. They found Kamran who had been stabbed several times. He was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Within five days of the incident, the three defendants had been arrested and charged.

Detective Inspector Jamie Snell, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “This is yet another tragic example of a young life taken because of a minor disagreement.

“Abubakar Binabdulaziz and the teenager had no qualms about using knives, carrying out a ferocious attack on Kamran which saw him stabbed more than 30 times.

“My thoughts are with Kamran’s family and friends who have suffered the most unimaginable loss. I hope they can take some solace from the fact his killers have been brought to justice.”
