Tip-top O’s maintain their unbeaten start

Rochdale v Leyton Orient – Sky Bet League Two – Crown Oil Arena – Report

Rochdale 0-1 Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient remain three points clear at the top of Sky Bet League Two following a narrow 1-0 victory over rock-bottom Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena

George Moncur’s brilliant right-footed strike handed Orient the lead, and subsequently their seventh win in eight matches, ten minutes before the interval.

The O’s had to survive a late scare when Rochdale were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage-time after goalkeeper, Lawrence Vigouroux had fouled Tyrese Sinclair. However, the stopper swiftly turned hero after turning aside Scott Quigley’s spot-kick.
