Canvey Island and Dagenham & Redbridge have been handed tough ties at the second round stage of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Gulls put pay to Banbury United’s hopes in the first round and have now been paired with Vanarama National League outfit, Boreham Wood.

The tie will take place at Canvey’s Park Lane ground – Boreham wood reached this stage by dispatching Southend United via a penalty shootout following a 3-3 draw after extra-time.

Meanwhile, the Daggers will travel to Sky Bet League Two strugglers, Mansfield Town at the Stags One Call Stadium.

Daryl McMahon’s men saw off Grimsby Town by three goals to one at the Chigwell Construction Stadium to book the tie. Mansfield – without a league victory to their name all season – progressed by stunning Sunderland by a single goal at the Stadium of Light. The Nottinghamshire-based side recently appointed Nigel Clough as their new manager, replacing former Southend and Colchester defender, Graham Coughlan.
