Colchester United v MK Dons – Sky Bet League Two – JobServe Community Stadium – Report

Colchester United 2-3 MK Dons

Colchester United’s troubled start to their Sky Bet League Two season continued as MK Dons hit back to secure a late victory at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Ben Garner’s men went into the game off the back of defeats against Bradford City and AFC Wimbledon. They again appeared to be staring down the barrel when Mo Eisa gave MK Dons the lead.

However, Colchester swiftly hit back. Joe Taylor continued his impressive personal start to the campaign with two goals inside three minutes, taking his tally to the season to four in the process.

Indeed, the `u’s looked set for their first points of the season. However, their former midfielder Alex Gilbey restored parity two minutes from time before substitute Matt Dennis delivered the knockout blow by scoring in the tenth minute of stoppage-time.

Colchester United returns to Premier League action on Saturday, August 26, when they face Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium (3pm).
