Twelve environmental protestors were arrested after the M25 was blocked on Monday morning.
Police received a call shortly before 8.15am on September 13 reporting a number of people were blocking the road at Junction 31 for Lakeside.
This was one of a number of protests carried out at different parts of the motorway by a group calling itself Insulate Britain,
Twelve people were arrested on suspicion of highways obstruction. Nine have since been released under investigation while the other three were released on bail until October 8.
Chief Inspector Paul Austin said: “This incident caused significant disruption and our officers worked to resolve it as quickly and safely as possible.”
