Two arrested after boy injured in Westcliff

Two teenage boys have been arrested after an incident in Westcliff.

Police were called to Springfield Avenue shortly after 2.30pm on Monday May 20 after reports of a number of young people fighting.

One boy was taken to hospital for treatment. He is in a stable condition.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of a knife. They have both been released on conditional bail whilst enquiries continue.

Police would encourage anyone with information who has not yet come forward to do so as soon as possible.
