Police arrested two people in the early hours of this morning, as part of ongoing efforts to tackling drug related crime in Essex.
Officers from the Basildon Community Policing Team and Operational Support Group plus police dogs and handlers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
They gained entry to a property in the Crays Hill area of Billericay and located a large amount of suspected class B drugs. Cash and multiple mobile phones were also located as well as a small amount of suspected class A drugs.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of Class A drugs.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
