Two arrested in Colchester after teenager sustains stab wounds

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as part of an investigation into a serious incident in Colchester.

Police were called to the junction of Queen Street and Priory Street at about 6.30pm on Tuesday January 9 following reports of a boy being seriously assaulted.

A 16-year-old, was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

His condition is no longer life-threatening.

A 20-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released and will face no further action at this time.

Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested on Thursday January 11 in the Greenstead area of the city on suspicion of attempted murder.
