Two arrests after stabbing in North Weald

Officers acted quickly to arrest two teenagers after a boy was stabbed in North Weald last night (Friday August 27).

It is believed that a verbal altercation at a bus stop on High Road turned into a fight just before 9.15pm.

A teenage boy was taken to hospital for treatment, but has not suffered serious injuries.

Two local boys, aged 14 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The 14-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.

They remain in custody for questioning.
