Two charged with drug and trafficking offences

Two people have been charged with Class A drugs offences and human trafficking offences in Essex.

On March 10, officers on the A12 stopped a vehicle they believed was connected to drug dealing.

They seized the phone of one of the occupants of the car the following day.

Officers from Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police worked together and executed two warrants on April 4, one in Romford and one in Colchester, arresting a man and a woman on suspicion of drugs and human trafficking offences.

Ryan Thomas, 25, of Norman Crescent, Brentwood, is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, human trafficking and modern slavery.

Alison Kirby, 28, of Chinook in Highwoods, Colchester, was also charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and modern slavery.

Both appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Friday April 5 and were remanded in custody until a future court hearing.
