Two men charged following firearms incident in Waltham Abbey

Two men have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into a firearms incident in Waltham Abbey.

Armed response officers were called to an address in Crooked Mile, Waltham Abbey at around 10pm on Tuesday, August 30, following reports of a man receiving a gunshot wound.

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries, which were not deemed to be life-threatening.

Following enquiries from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, two men have been charged with multiple offences in connection with the investigation.

Jordan McKenzie-Pryce, 36 of Stock Lane, Ingatestone, has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence
  • Conspiracy to commit kidnap
  • Grievous bodily harm with intent
  • Possession of criminal property

Nathan Dale, 36 of Prospect Road, Barnet has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence
  • Conspiracy to commit kidnap
  • Grievous bodily harm with intent

Both men appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday September 15 and will stand trial at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday October 13.
