Two men try to get woman out of car in Leigh

Police are investigating after a woman reported someone had tried to get her out of her car in Leigh-on-Sea.

It was reported the woman had been stationary at a zebra crossing opposite the church in Rectory Grove between 6pm and 7pm yesterday (Sunday September 26) when two men approached her vehicle.

She reported they tried to get her out her vehicle but two members of the public came to her aid.

The men have been described as black and dressed in black tracksuits, black socks, and black shoes.

Officers need to speak to anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage.

They also wish to speak to the two members of the public who came to the woman’s aid.
